Massachusetts redistricting panel to hold final hearing

 

This is the last chance to have our voices heard in the redistricting process at a state public hearing.  If you are around the Boston area, attend this hearing and testify. 
 
The panel holds its last public hearing on Monday at the Statehouse following a dozen previous field hearings around the state in recent months. 

Sen. Stanley Rosenberg, D-Amherst, said the committee has yet to begin drawing a new map and is still poring over U.S. Census data and demographic information from key communities. During those hearings, Rosenberg said the committee heard a common refrain: "The message was ... we love our congressperson, don’t destroy that district," he said.
