Collective Value Proposition (CVP)

The Leadership Team of ONE Massachusetts developed a Collective Value Proposition (CVP) because we believe that the more focused and well defined our One Massachusetts Network’s purpose, the more commitment we will be able to obtain from our members, and the more we will be able to accomplish.

A CVP is about what network members can do together that they cannot do alone, no matter how successful they are individually.

A CVP articulates a commitment on the part of network members to a mutually desired outcome. To achieve the CVP, network members need to share connections (bringing people into contact with people unlike those they already know); share knowledge (when you add what I know to what you know a new picture emerges); share competencies (what can I do for you/you do for me so we don’t all have to develop all the competencies needed); and share resources (banding together to share a resource that no one organization could afford on their own). Active support for the CVP is the criteria for ONE Massachusetts membership.

We want—and recognize that all Massachusetts residents deserve—healthy lives; healthy families; quality education; safe, vibrant communities; and broadly shared prosperity in a thriving state.

These are goals we cannot achieve alone and can best accomplish by working together through a participatory, democratic government.

By joining our diverse voices, experiences and resources together, we can create the public will to build effective, fairly—funded government that achieves these goals.
